Co-operative education: Seven tips from Upskill People

‘People want to access training on all devices and the quality needs to be the same – whether on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop’

Keep your learning current: Especially with legislation. With our library of courses we update our training with new legislation, so you don’t have to. Also keep your content fresh and relevant.

Make sure your training courses are responsive: People want to access training on all devices and the quality needs to be the same – whether on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. In research we’ve found that responsive courses reduce training times by up to 19%.

Train at all times: People want to learn at a time that’s convenient to them. That might be during working hours, dedicated training time or at home in their own time.

Utilise data: With online learning your data needs to be spot on. That’s why we integrate with payroll so that you know the right people are on your system and receiving the training that’s right for their roles.

Report on your training and development: Easy access to reporting functionality means your managers can be kept up to date on who has completed training so they can manage their people correctly. And you can show compliance and best practice in training and development.

Monitor your feedback: Ask your people what they think of the courses and also if they have any bright ideas to improve your organisation in light of what they’ve learnt.

Test your learning: We’ve completed research programmes to demonstrate that training works. For this we selected similar outlets with identical offerings, similar sized teams and comparable footfall, demographics and location. One outlet received training. The other didn’t. We then accurately monitored the uplift in sales as a direct result of training.
