World Council of Credit Unions launches virtual conference

The platform will be available to conference delegates as well as those unable to attend the event

Credit union professionals around the world will be able to watch presentations at the World Credit Union Conference via a new On-Demand platform.

The conference, held on 28-31 July in the Bahamas, will feature 25 breakout sessions and four keynote sessions. These will be recorded and synched with PowerPoint slides, which will be available on the online platform.

Users will gain access to more than 30 hours of content from all breakout sessions and keynote presentations. They will be able to watch presentations, download audio files, bookmark and take notes and personalise learning opportunities.

The World Council of Credit Unions, which organises the event, has two On-Demand packages available. Professionals attending the conference in the Bahamas can add On-Demand access to their conference registration for US$250 (£192) per person. Those not attending the conference can purchase On-Demand access for US $650 (£500) per person.

The conference will include presentations on leadership, cybersecurity, digital technologies and the economy. In February Woccu confirmed Connie Dieken, founder of Influence360˚ and strategic advisory firm Dieken Group, as one of the keynote speakers.

Delegates will also hear from Patrick Schwerdtfeger, founder of Trend Mastery and the host of the Strategic Business Insights video; Dr Pippa Malmgren, former presidential advisor to George W. Bush and co-founder of H Robotics; and computer security expert Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer at F-Secure.
