Play sails into London

August 25 2009

Celebrating the Co-operative Movement’s ethics, the theatre production Fair Trade docked at the Embankment, London.

The play on the HMS President ship by Mikron Theatre Company, which is supported by the Co-operative Group, looks at the Movement’s work with Fairtrade.

Co-operative affairs officer for the South East Pinky Badhan said: “The play was originally supported by our Northern membership team and when we heard it was coming south, we were delighted to help once again to bring this inspirational play to a whole new audience. The venue was also really quirky and proved to be a splendid backdrop for the production.”
