Crawley Town agrees to fan representative joining its board

The league two club has agreed for a member of the supporters trust to join its board

Crawley Town, the league two football club, has agreed to have a member-owner representative on its board.

The Crawley Town Supporters’ Alliance (CTFCSA) has announced that the initial agreement will be in place for the 2017/2018 season and 2018/2019 seasons. In return, the supporters trust will make a financial donation of £8,000 in total, for the two seasons.

The fan representative will be elected by the trust’s members at the annual meeting on 22 November. The role and appointment will then be reviewed annually at the annual meeting.

The representative will attend all Crawley Town FC Board meetings and will also be a board member of the trust to enable a clear and open transfer of information to members.

A statement from the trust’s board said: “We feel that this is a significant step forward in the growth and openness of the relationship between the CTSA and the Club.”

The trust was established in July 2011, to bring together a number of fan factions under one alliance. It also provides representation, travel, financial advantages and social activities to the benefit of fans, the club and community.
