Worker co-op solidarity fund workshop

12 November 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Also information on Facebook

In May this year, we held a successful Worker Co-operative Weekend, the first national worker co-op education and networking conference in over 15 years. An important outcome was the decision to create a new fund, designed and run by worker co-operators, to underwrite the future success and organisation of our co-ops. Calverts, Unicorn Grocery, Infinity Foods and others have already pledged to contribute to the fund, which aims to ‘soft launch’ on November 1st.

This event will be an opportunity for people to find out more about the fund and for those already involved to meet in person and take this initiative to the next stage.

To date, the mission, purposes, principles and outline policies of the Fund have been discussed and formulated by a 25-strong group, using the open democracy platform Loomio. You can read about progress so far here.
