In November, the Russian Cooperative Forum was held, which was devoted to the 180th anniversary of Consumer Cooperation in Russia; it had demonstrated the significant and important role of the cooperative movement in the process of the State development.

Among the distinguished guest was Viktor Zubkov — the First Deputy of the Russian Prime-Minister, the representatives of the Russian parliament as well as other internal and foreign public and social representatives.

In the complimentary address the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev noted "the new perspectives", which modern economy opens for cooperators, while the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said: "The Government will continue to support the cooperative movement, its multilateral and needed activity."

There were about 600 participants at the Forum, which highlighted that the significant perspectives of the Russian modernization require the improvement of the role and activity of the consumer societies in every processes, which identify the ways of the Russian regional development.
