At the International Co-operative Alliance global conference in Antalya, Turkey this week, Co-operative News is hosting a forum on Co-operative Identity.
The 90 minute session takes place at 11am (8am GMT) on Thursday 12 November and will cover how the digital space offers opportunities for co-ops to share resources.
Co-operative News is encouraging as many questions as possible from readers about co-operatives’ place in the digital world. You can submit your questions via our Facebook page, on Twitter, by commenting below, or by emailing [email protected].
Topics discussed will include:
- How co-operatives can be more active in shaping the digital world
- Ownership of data online
- The use of social media
- The promotion of co-op identity on digital platforms
- The use of digital tools to exchange practices and tools across the world
In addition, there will also be a workshop on the practical use of the co-operative marque.
There are four speakers at the session, each with a wealth of co-operative experience.
Radio and television journalist Francis Mikwa has been working as public relations officer at the Co-operative University College of Kenya for the last three years. Violetta Nafpaktiti is the chief operating officer at Domains.coop, and has been working there since its launch. Michael Seguin is a professor at the University of Quebec, with research activities in the field of co-operative management. And Noga Zivan is the director of international programmes at AJEEC-NISPED in Israel, the Arab-Jewish Centre for Equality, Empowerment and Cooperation.
You can submit your questions any time leading up to the session, and Co-operative News executive editor Anthony Murray, who is moderating the panel, will endeavour to raise your queries.
