Three executives have been appointed to The Co-operative Legal Services to help build the business “for the future”.

Matt Howells, managing director of CLS, welcomed the appointments across its probate, family and personal injury practices. He said: “In addition to the investment we’re making in technology, the new expertise we’ve brought into our executive team will be invaluable in underpinning our ambition to best meet customer and member needs through a range of affordable and transparent services.”

Rob Heaton, joins CLS as head of probate operations, following a career in the legal sector with Eversheds Solicitors, where he spent 10 years in a variety of managerial positions. More recently, he was at personal injury law firm; NewLaw Solicitors where he was head of operations.

As of next month, Sam Hickman will be head of family practice. For 11 years she has been at Clarke Wilmott, where she focused on the growth and development of the private family practices across the country.

Anthony Wilson will start in October as head of personal injury having previously worked for 2020 Legal, Hill Dickinson and Goldsmith Williams where he specialised in employer liability, public liability and clinical negligence.
