Argentinian ICMIF member Sancor Seguros have recently launched a centre for technological, corporate and social innovation (Centro de Innovación Tecnológica, Empresarial y Social – CITES) with an initial investment of USD 30 million to encourage the creation of new industries and businesses for goods and services. At the launch of the centre the Sancor Seguros Group was represented by the President Alfredo Panella (pictured second from left) and Néstor Abatidaga (pictured far right), CEO of the Group and President of CITES.
Also attending the opening ceremony was the Chief of the Argentinian Cabinet of Ministers, Jorge Capitanich; the Minister of Science and Technology, Lino Barañao; the Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Casamiquela; the Secretary-General of the Nation´s Presidency, Oscar Parrilli; Vice Governor of Santa Fe Province, Jorge Henn; and the Intendant of Sunchales, Ezequiel Bolatti; among other important visitors.
At the launch of the new centre Néstor Abatidaga said that “a nation grows starting with a prolific creation of large and medium-size companies of high added value which research, develop and produce skilled jobs. And I believe that we cannot ask the State for all the solutions. As business men and citizens, each one of us, from the place we have, we can help to generate better conditions that allow the strengthening of regional economies and the contribution to the economic growth with social equity.”
Jorge Capitanich, Chief of the Argentinian Cabinet of Ministers, praised the project and the cooperativeness spirit of the Sancor Seguros Group that facilitates the sustainable growth of the communities starting from its corporate social responsibility (CSR) work.
