The International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) today announced that the Make A Difference (MAD) Charity is its official 2013 conference charity.
In November this year ICMIF will, for the first time in its history welcome more than 200 delegates to its Biennial Conference in South Africa. In honour of this occasion it has pledged USD 5000 to send a MAD student on its coveted Advanced Management Course and a further USD 5000 to help sponsor a student for a year.
ICMIF Chief Executive, Shaun Tarbuck said: “This is the first time that we have had our Biennial Conference in South Africa and we intend to make the most of the opportunity. The future leadership focus of the MAD Charity fits perfectly with our conference theme and our members’ values-based strategies.
“ICMIF’s pledge is just the start. We will shortly announce details about other ICMIF members who are supporting the MAD charity in lots of different ways. We have created a bespoke webpage for our members to learn about the many ways that they can get involved with the MAD charity and at our conference we will hold a silent auction. There’s lots more to come, so watch this space!”
The ICMIF Biennial Conference 2013 will take place in Cape Town, South Africa (November 6-8, 2013). Get more information at: http://www.icmif.org/conference2013
