A joint project between three co-operatives has been named as a finalist at the national industry awards for public relations practitioners.
Midcounties, Midlands and Southern retail societies reached the finals of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations ‘Excellence Awards’ for its collaboration on the customer-focused ‘The Co-operative magazine’.
The publication, which is produced twice a year with special editions printed for each society, was named a finalist in the Best External Publication Category. Representatives from the societies faced a series of face-to-face interviews from a team of 80 expert judges to reach the final, which was won by Glasgow law firm Tods Murray.
Produced by River Publishing, the magazine features content tailored to the local community, as well seasonal recipes and features, plus details of events for co-operative members.
