Co-operatives United will host 150 workshops, allowing delegates to customise the conference to their interests or learn something new.
Co-operators will learn about all aspects of co-operation, with a diverse range of workshops on areas from banking and childcare to theatre and technology.
People will get the chance to interact with co-operatives from all over the world; including an inspirational Fairtrade organic co-op from Paraguay, the Värmland model – a successful Swedish training programme for start up co-ops and Legacoop from Italy.
There will be a huge range of activities on offer. Attendees can join the campaign to Move their Money, learn about Co-operative Alternatives to Capitalism or discuss gender issues in Nicaraguan Sesame and Coffee Co-operatives.
Co-operatives United is a place to learn new things and these workshops offer lessons on social media with Co-operative News, how to save rural services and shops through community investment with the Plunkett Foundation and the use of technology to engage and organise your members with Reason Digital.
From big ideas to big fun – the conference will offer an exciting collection of things to do.
Co-operatives from the home of Co-operatives United, Manchester, will also be taking part – with talks from FC United and the 24:7 Theatre Arts Network.
There will also be a chance to hear about what happened at the International Summit in Quebec.
• The workshops will take place from October 31-November 2 in various rooms across Manchester Central.
