Keynote speakers will include renowned journalist and Guardian columnist, Polly Toynbee who will discuss the role of women in society, and Agnes Bolsø, Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, who will highlight the action taken to make Norway a world leader in gender equality in business.
Keynote presentations will be followed by case studies from a new generation of co-operators, to give an inspirational look at the future for women in business.
Saskia Neibig, Trustee of The Woodcraft Folk, will be accompanied by Marloes Nicholls and Danielle Paffard, founders of the Move your Money campaign and Britta Werner, a director of Unicorn Grocery and Board Member of Co-operatives UK.
Speaking on the Gender Forum, Shelagh Everett, Programme Leader for the International Year of Co-operatives at Co-operatives UK said: “The Gender Forum brings together leading commentators from outside the co-operative sector with younger women pioneering co-operative business today. Building on the Co-operative Women’s Challenge, this will be a fantastic place for insight and inspiration and to network with co-operative women from around the world.”
