Guest speaker Chris Taggart from OpenCorporates showed what can be done. In four years Chris has created a database of 43 million companies from around the world; if co-operatives can add to this data this will empower users and communities. Chris said that while the amount of open data is increasing; it is worrying that the amount of private/propriety data in climbing at a much faster rate.
