Employee Ownership Australia, supporters of the International Year of Co-operatives have offered NFPs, co-ops, and trade unions a special conference day rate (not incuding the EOA Awards Dinner) of $245 to the 2012 Employee Ownership Conference on Thursday 10 May 2012, at the Sofitel in Melbourne, 8.30am-5.30pm.

Employee Ownership Australia and New Zealand (EOA) is a not for profit company formed to foster broad based employee ownership, provide education and information to companies with employee share plans, lobby for change and be a forum for companies to share information in this space.

Keynote speakers include former chair of John Lewis (UK), Sir Stuart Hampson. Sir Stuart was the immediate past Chair of the John Lewis Partnership (JLP) in the UK, the largest employee owned company in the UK (an operator of department stores and supermarkets with 76,000 employees). JLP has been described as “the best company in Britain to work for” and a model “workplace of the future”.

The conference concludes with the 2012 EOA Awards, that recognise companies that embody employee share ownership principles.
