The East Bay Express, a paper serving San Francisco’s East Bay area, is hosting a one-day conference on progressive solutions to deal with our pressing economic problems. The Progressive Opportunities conference, held at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, Calif., showcases the best work of nonprofits, companies, unions, activists and government leaders. The conference, on Feb. 26, 2012, includes presentations by Network of Bay Area Worker Cooperatives, Cooperative Food Empowerment Directive (CoFED) and The Worker Coop Credit Union.
On the day prior to the conference, The Network of Bay Area Worker Cooperatives will host a guided bike tour of some of the worker cooperatives in the East Bay.
