As part of the International Summit of Cooperatives, 230 cooperators between the ages of 25 and 30 from all over the world will have a chance to connect with their peers and meet eminent and respected leaders and experts from the cooperative movement, in an environment conducive to developing networks and sharing cooperative know-how. As participants of the Future Cooperative Leaders Program, they will be able to attend the Summit and take part in interesting and exclusive events, including breakfast seminars and discussion sessions on topics related to the themes of the Summit. Through this program, future cooperative leaders will have an opportunity to take their rightful place in the cooperative community and help draft a declaration that reflects their vision and whose impact will be felt for many years to come. This declaration will be presented at the close of the event. As they prepare to assume their roles as elected officers and managers of the cooperative movement, the Summit offers these future leaders a unique opportunity to share their ideas and voice their opinions on cooperative and sustainable development issues. Looking for future leaders Cooperatives interested in nominating individuals for the Future Cooperative Leaders’ Program are invited to send the names of the candidates who meet the criteria to the Summit secretariat.
