Benenden Healthcare Society is a ‘not for profit’ friendly society and a UK member of ICMIF. The society is a mutual organisation and aims to provide members with first class medical assistance whenever they need it.

The Society produces and distributes a magazine for their members four times a year. This magazine is benhealth and is now ranked within the Top 30 of the most widely distributed magazines in the UK. Benhealth sits at number 28 in the list, as certified by the UK Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) in June. The magazine is circulated to 351,173 members.

Karin Mochan, benhealth’s editor, said: ‘It’s a real achievement to be performing so well alongside the competition. benhealth has the largest circulation of any health title in the latest ABC report” Karin continues, ‘Since our redesign in September last year we’ve had some really positive feedback from readers, who tell us they rate benhealth highly – both as a good read and also as a trusted source of health information”.

The magazine contains a broad range of health and wellbeing news, features and lifestyle advice as well as interviews with major UK celebrities. More importantly members can be kept up to date with the latest news regarding Benenden Healthcare Society and its services via a four-page central section, together, thus ensuring regular communication with members.

Katy Pollard, from benhealth’s editorial board, said: ‘We are continually reviewing the content of benhealth and listening to the views of our readers so that we can improve upon each edition and make it the choice of health and wellbeing reading for our members.’

Benenden Healthcare is one of the UK’s longest serving and most respected mutual healthcare societies. The Society is currently open to all public sector workers and their families; employees of organisations whose aims and objectives are compatible with the Society; members of charities, credit unions and co-operatives.
