Co-op MP backs Which? debate

Three politicians, including Labour/Co-op MP John McFall, have launched the ‘Future of Banking Commission’, bringing together MPs, banks and the public in early 2010 to debate Britain’s banking...

The Commission, chaired by Conservative David Davis, has been developed by Which?, following a proposal from Treasury Select Committee Chair Mr McFall to put ordinary people and the wider interests of society at the heart of a reformed banking system.
Which? research shows that eight in ten people do not think banks have done enough to ensure that the credit crunch doesn’t happen again and six in ten don’t believe the banks have learnt their lesson.
Also taking part will be Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesman Vince Cable.
