Boost for farm managers

TWO managers from the Co-operative Group’s farms business have earned environmental qualifications.

James Taylor, who runs The Co-operative farm at Down Ampney, Gloucestershire, and Keith Daly, who runs a farm near Ongar in Essex, have both completed a Biodiversity and Environmental Training for Advisers (BETA) qualification.

BETA training includes modules covering conservation, sustainable farming, crop protection, wildlife and landscape management, use of pesticides and farm waste and pollution management.
