Chelmsford relaunch store with new brand

Chelmsford Star Co-op has changed its sixth store to the Co-operative brand.

The society’s Danbury outlet is the latest store to get the green facia being adopted by a number of other co-ops. The store was officially relaunched by pupils from the Heathcote School.

Great emphasis has been put behind promoting the many positives of the Co-operative label. Local food also plays a more important part with new lines being introduced such as the famous Rossi’s Ice Cream.

Food Operations Manager Kelvin McDonald said: “We have made this store more of a supermarket than a convenience store so people can now find most of their requirements on their doorstep. We hope that everyone is pleased with what we have done and they have a local store they can be proud of.”
