Euro scheme grows

Midlands Co-op is now selling euros in another 50 food stores after originally launching the scheme in just 22 shops three years ago.


Julie Tyler, the society’s Operations Manager, said the initiative has proved so popular the society extended it to more supermarkets across its trading area.�

 

Customers request euros at the till and a member of staff arranges for the currency’s collection.�The packs of up to £750 per transaction are commission-free and are broken down into sensible denominations.
