A Tamworth travel agency has achieved the highest ever mark in a mystery shopper challenge. Travelcare on Colehill scored 99 per cent in the contest, which is run every week by leading national travel industry magazine Travel Weekly.
Writing about travel adviser Claire Wood, the magazine said: “Her knowledge of the Caribbean was plain to see, and in the end she settled on an excellent value option. Travelcare showed how it should be done with a near-perfect 99 per cent.”
Travel Weekly editor Sarah Longbottom added: “For Travelcare in Tamworth to achieve 99 per cent is extremely impressive. It was a clear winner — in the same week other agents in Tamworth scored between 35 per cent and 89 per cent in our mystery shop.
“The Travelcare travel agent showed that good customer service combined with a sound knowledge of a holiday destination can prove a winning formula. She added an extra personal touch by promising to stay in touch with her customer — but also telling the customer not to feel pressurised by her calls.”
For coming top of the shops, Claire (pictured above with Trevor Davis, the Co-operative Travel Head of Retail) wins a week’s holiday for two at the Verandah resort in Antigua, while she also stands a very good chance of winning the quarterly bonus prize for the highest mark achieved.
