MIDCOUNTIES Co-op pharmacy group has acquired four additional branches from the Co-operative Group for an undisclosed sum.
The multi-million pound deal for the pharmacies in Bista and Wheatley in Oxfordshire, Dursley in Gloucestershire and Lichfield, Staffordshire, increases the society's pharmacy portfolio to 45 outlets.
The society has now purchased 11 pharmacies since the formation of Midcounties Co-op just over two years ago.
Paul Byrne, Group General Manager for Midcounties Co-op Pharmacy, commented: ?"These acquisitions mark important progress and we are delighted to continue expanding our co-operative services and values.
"Each pharmacy will provide a full range of services as we look to maintain each branch's excellent standards with a dedicated staff team."
