A Midcounties Co-op Travel manager from Walsall has been named as the region's brightest young business mind in the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards.
Sarah Powell joined the society two years ago and has helped the travel club's sales double over the past year, generating £ 445,000 in the six months to March 2007.
When she started there were only 800 travel club members, with the number now in excess of 15,500.
She said: "The travel clubs have really taken off over the past two years and it's been great going to businesses with a really attractive offer that their staff benefit from with cheaper holidays."
