SHOPPERS at Leeds Co-op's 3,000 sq ft Garforth store are backing the new 'The co-operative' brand.
Customer reaction from the first 'typical' Leeds Society food store to trial the new look represents "a significant vote of confidence," says Leeds Chief Executive Alan Gill.
"Shopfloor feedback was the first thing to suggest a very positive impact. Customers said the store is brighter, fresher, more modern and easier to navigate," commented Mr Gill.
"Together with the results of a formal survey, the east Leeds pilot looks like sending out some interesting messages to the rest of the retail movement about the value of seriously considering this brand."
