The outlets, in Port Tennant Road, Port Tennant, and Alexandra Road, Gorseinon, have been bought, for an undisclosed amount, from KDGS Limited.

Existing staff at the outlets, 24 people in total, will transfer to the Group. A spokesman for Co-operative Group Pharmacy said: "We are delighted to have acquired these branches and we are looking forward to building on the valuable services they already offer their local communities.

"These acquisitions are an important part of our ambitious plans for the development and expansion of Co-operative Group Pharmacy."

The Co-operative Group is the largest pharmacy chain in Wales, with 83 branches.
