A NEW organisation has been launched in Dublin to help promote co-operatives throughout the island of Ireland and develop links with co-op movements worldwide.
The Forum for the Co-operative Movement in Ireland has fraternal links with the Northern Ireland Co-op Forum and hopes to develop strong links with the UK Movement as it becomes established.
Although the newly-appointed chairman of the Forum, Seamus O&#039Donohoe, says the new Forum is at an embryonic stage and is not an all-Ireland body, he told the News that it is hoped the NI Forum will have a significant input and that the two groupings would have a good working relationship.
