A POST Office has been saved from closure by Plymouth and South West Co-op.
Shoppers in Plympton were due to lose their local branch on the Ridgeway shopping precinct, until the society stepped in to retain the community's service.
The society moved the Post Office to its supermarket in the town and has improved it with a brighter, more modern appearance and better access for customers.
Tim Pearce, Chief Operating Officer, Food Group, said: "We are already experienced in successfully operating a number of other Post Office branches and are committed to delivering high standards of customer service in well presented branches."
