FAIRTRADE products were the dish of the day at an event in Worcester&#039s Guild Hall when the Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Aubrey Tarbuck, tucked into some tasty Co-op Fairtrade cookies.

Organised by the Co-operative Group in conjunction with the Worcester Trade Justice Network, the event marked the start of Fairtrade Fortnight (6-19 March) and gave people the chance to talk about trade justice and sample some Fairtrade foods.

Mayor Tarbuck said: "It&#039s very fitting that the Faithful City has hosted this event for Fairtrade and I am delighted the taste matches the concept. I am sure that more and more people will want to try Fairtrade goods and the Co-op should be applauded for their efforts in promoting the brand to a wider customer base."
