HUNDREDS of Christmas gifts were given to Walsall charities by generous staff at Co-op Travel Direct, part of Midcounties Co-operative.
The customer contact centre team, based in Bloxwich Road, Walsall, collected more than 250 toys and toiletries for Sure Start Palfrey children's charity and the Walsall Domestic Violence Forum.
More than 50 staff contributed by bringing the items in on a number of dress down Fridays. The collection was part of Business in The Community initiative Cares at Christmas, which helps those in need over the festive season.
Deby Cullum, Community Development Liaison Officer at Midcounties Co-op, said: "Everyone loves wearing their jeans to work from time to time, so the team decided to do something for charity in return for having their dress down Fridays.
"There was such a fantastic response from staff that we intend to hold more dress down collections for other causes next year."
