LINCOLNSHIRE Co-operative has provided the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust with a car for its emergency team.
The car carries sophisticated life-saving medical equipment. The County Hospital Accident and Emergency Flying Squad (CHAEFS) is supported by voluntary donations and staffed by doctors, nurses and drivers from the Accident and Emergency Department.
The service is available on request from the ambulance service, police, fire brigade, doctors and GPs via ambulance control, to provide immediate care for any life threatening situation in the city of Lincoln.
Presenting the keys Lincolnshire Society President Julia Romney said how pleased she was that the society was able to help an organisation which provided such a valuable and much needed service.
