STAFF from Scottish Co-op's northern stores stepped forward to help raise £ 5,000 for charity.
More than 40 members of staff from Co-op stores across the north of Scotland took on an 18-mile hike from Inverness to Drum, part of the Great Glen Way long distance path, to raise money for the Highland Hospice in Inverness and Shelter's Million Children Campaign, the Co-operative Group's chosen charity for the year.
"It was hard work and we all ended up with sore feet, but it was worth it to raise such a fantastic amount for two such deserving charities," said operations manager Gary Summers who organised the event.
