STAFF from Scottish Co-op&#039s northern stores stepped forward to help raise &#163 5,000 for charity.
More than 40 members of staff from Co-op stores across the north of Scotland took on an 18-mile hike from Inverness to Drum, part of the Great Glen Way long distance path, to raise money for the Highland Hospice in Inverness and Shelter&#039s Million Children Campaign, the Co-operative Group&#039s chosen charity for the year.
"It was hard work and we all ended up with sore feet, but it was worth it to raise such a fantastic amount for two such deserving charities," said operations manager Gary Summers who organised the event.
