COMMUNITIES fighting to save their local pub can now receive extra help from the Campaign
for Real Ale&#039s (CAMRA) Community Pubs Foundation.
The scheme will provide support for local communities fighting to save their pubs from being demolished, turned into houses or any other use.
CAMRA has published research that shows 26 pubs are closing each month.
In response to these findings, CAMRA decided to launch the Foundation.
Community pubs in some rural areas of England could benefit from Enterprise 4 Inclusion funding.
The 30th September application deadline
is approaching and all existing or potential social enterprises in rural areas of the North East, North West, East Midlands and South West are being invited to submit applications.
The programme offers both grants and consultancy and is managed by Co-operatives UK,
The Plunkett Foundation and ACRE. Contact Lucy Williams on 0161 246 2945 or visit www.enterprise4inclusion.org.uk for details.
