TOO many people can be put off from exercising by ‘designer&#039 gyms with high fees and an expensive fashion culture.

"In some cases the motivation is more for social ‘posing&#039 than getting fit," says Leeds Co-op.

It&#039s the latest part of Leeds Co-op&#039s 12-month campaign which has spotlighted exercise, diet, nutrition and cooking issues to persuade people to "Choose a Healthier Lifestyle".

"Gyms offer many advantages but they&#039re not the be-all and end-all," says Sarah Hill, Leeds Co-op&#039s General Manager, Membership and Co-operative Affairs. "One of the best gyms can be your own home.
