MIDLANDS Co-op has announced plans to donate a further &#163 80,000 to community groups within its trading area. The funding – part of the society&#039s Making a Difference Community Dividend – will see &#163 300,000 donated to local groups within a 12-month period.
Twenty-four groups will benefit from the funding, covering a variety of projects ranging from providing children&#039s play facilities to helping environmental projects. Two of the groups have also been awarded special Midlands Co-op Anniversary Awards, amounting to &#163 10,000 each.
Applications for the Making a Difference Community Dividend are judged and awarded on a quarterly basis.
