CO-OPERATIVE Press has announced the composition of its Board following the recent elections and nominations.
Jeanette Timmins and Brian Rees have been appointed by the Co-operative Group's main board, while Ian McCallum has been appointed by the Group's regions.
United Co-operatives' new representative on the Press board is David Pownall, while in the section reserved for other organisations in membership of the society, the successful candidates were Martin Alder and Erskine Holmes.
The unsuccessful candidates in this election were: Timothy Booth, Bill Jordan, Peter Jovcic-Sas, Ian Millar Alan Proctor and Hollis Smallman.
Herbert Daybell was elected via the individual shareholders' election and the unsuccessful candidates were: Geraint Day, Erskine Holmes, Adrian Knapper, William Llewellyn, John Merret Bloom, Vic Parks and Richard Tomlinson.
Press board chair Jeanette Timmins commented: "I would like to thank everyone who contested the elections. It was certainly heartening to see so many people putting themselves forward for nomination, though, on a personal note, I think it's a pity there were no other women candidates."
