The Making A Noise campaign aims to raise £ 500,000 by November for Shelter, which ensures children in the UK live in decent housing.
It was music to customers' ears as (left) Lisburn Road, Belfast, Co-op store manager Michael Gillen, operations manager Martin Walsh and staff members launched their efforts.

Store manager Glenn Gennick covered his ears as staff at the Pontllanfraith supermarket made a noise for Shelter Cymru, and at Scottish Co-op's Kirkcaldy store, children from the Linton Lane playgroup joined staff to make a noise for the charity.
