THE race was on for staff from the Co-operative Group who donned their running shoes for Cardiff&#039s Fair Trade 5K race.
Three staff members from Co-op stores entered the race which aimed to raise money for Fairtrade producers including those affected by the Tsunami disaster.
Kirsty Morgan from the Llanishen store, Stuart Davies (centre) from the Pyle Co-op and store manager David Jones from the Ammanford Co-op all completed the run within 18 minutes and 25 seconds, with the personal best being David at 15 minutes.
Organised by Fair Trade Cardiff, the event was supported by the Co-operative Group which donated &#163 2,275.
The Group&#039s Regional Secretary for Wales Mark Field said: "We were delighted to support the race which was a great way to raise awareness of Fairtrade and to encourage more people to buy Fairtrade. We are also very proud of our three athletes who took part ? it once again shows our staff&#039s continued commitment to the campaign."
