FUNERAL director and fund-raising daredevil James McGovern took the plunge in his latest charity event.
Raising over &#163 1,000 for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow, James, from Wylie & Lochhead Funeral Directors, part of Co-operative Funeralcare, dived into a tank containing seven tiger sharks, a great white shark, conger eels, rays and skates.
James spent one hour swimming around the circumference of the tank, filled with 4.5 million litres of water, at Deep Sea World in Queensferry, and is pictured with the certificate, confirming his daring stunt.
A serial fund-raiser, James has been involved in extreme activities for various charities over the last 12 years, including a parachute jump, bungee jump and zipwiring from the tallest crane in Europe across the River Clyde. By this latest event, James has just broken the &#163 100,000 barrier in funds raised.
