THE Northamptonshire-based Raunds Co-op has announced another successful year to September 11th 2004, with record profits of £ 291,031 being the fifth year in a row of profit growth.
The society achieved a 5.3 per cent net trading surplus, with its food, non-food and farm divisions all contributing to this performance.
The co-op's financial position was further strengthened over the year as investments increased by 16 per cent and reserves grew by £ 284,787 to £ 4.6 million representing more than six times the members share capital.
Chief Executive Keith Tindall expressed his delight at the performance and paid tribute to the team effort of all staff who had made Raunds a shining example of a successful community focused retail co-op.
