THE Co-operative Group's Pensions Department collected two top awards at a prestigious awards ceremony in London.
The Group was named top in two categories: Best In House Administration and Large Scheme of the Year. It was also short-listed in two other categories in the annual awards, run by Professional Pensions magazine.
Alan Murphy, the Group's Head of Pensions (pictured), said: "We've worked hard to modemise and improve the pensions servce to our members, and I'm delighted that our efforts have been recognised with these awards."
The Co-operative Group Pension Fund has about 60,000 members, and assets worth about £ 2billion.
More than 120 of the UK's leading pension schemes entered the Professional Pensions Awards, which were presented in a ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in London's Park Lane.
