MIDLANDS Co-op has started a new fundraising initiative to help raise further funds for its corporate charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Its stores are selling "Quids-In" keyrings, which in the first three weeks raised over £ 9,000 for the charity. They carry a token that can be used in shopping trolleys and lockers in health centres that require £ 1 coins. This means no more dashing around looking for change!
John Canessa, Head of Shops and Trading for Marie Curie Cancer Care commented: "I am very pleased that the Midlands Co-op are selling so many keyrings, which are so useful for their shoppers in-store, but also raise money to fund the vital services that Marie Curie Cancer Care provides."
Midlands Co-op stores across the region, including the supermarket in Rising Brook, Stafford, will be continuing to sell these keyrings to help raise more funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
