A TRIP to 11 Downing Street was the reward for Lincolnshire Co-operative, one of the first 100 organisations nationally to become Age Positive Champions.
The Society's Vice President Terry Wilmer (above, left) joined the Minister for Work and Pensions Malcolm Wicks at a reception at 11 Downing Street.
Terry said: "Our success in becoming an Age Positive business can be attributed to the practical steps we have taken to enhance training and employment. We are playing a vital role in the campaign, and I am pleased that we are at the forefront of this initiative."
To become an Age Positive Champion, Lincolnshire Co-operative presented strong evidence of its commitment to Age Positive practices. It is the largest business in Lincolnshire to have achieved Age Positive Status.
