WEST MIDLANDS Co-op Travel has won its second major industry award for innovation this year.
The Walsall-based society picked up the ?Best Agency Innovation' category at the Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Midlands Awards at the Renaissance Hotel, Solihull.
This follows the Travel Weekly Globe Award for Innovation, which the division won in January for the range of technology features at Co-op Travel Ultra in Kidderminster.
The TTG award was given for the Windows on the World area, which features at both Co-op Travel Ultra branches in Walsall and Kidderminster, where customers can relax and view a selection of over 150 holiday destination videos.
While the video is showing, related holiday deals and adverts appear at the side of the screen and these can be scrolled through at any time.
Windows on the World has also been installed at Co-op Travel branches in Hawks Green, Stourbridge and Lichfield, and will be added to Wolverhampton and Wednesfield stores later this year.
Sue Reid, West Midlands Co-op Travel Deputy General Manager, said: "To get another important industry award shows how we are ahead of the competition with the introduction of innovative technologies, while not losing our focus on top quality customer service.
"Windows on the World has been hugely popular with customers as they can see what resorts and cities look like and access lots of useful information before booking their holiday."
