A MILLION thanks is the message from the Association of Children's Hospices to the Co-operative Group which has raised a massive £ 1 million for the charity in a five-month campaign by staff and shoppers.
Barbara Gelb, ACH Chief Executive, who accepted the mammoth cheque on behalf of the charity, said: "To raise the landmark sum of £ 1m for children's hospices throughout the UK is a great tribute to the Co-op staff who have worked so tirelessly to help make the initiative such a fantastic success.
"All that work and the generous support of customers will make a remarkable difference both to the local children's hospice movement overall, improving the support available to children, who will not live to reach adulthood, and their families."
