SWINDON MP Julia Drown launched Oxford, Swindon & Gloucester Co-op's new childcare nursery in East Walcot, Swindon.
The nursery is part of the society's new business group ? Imagine Co-operative Childcare.
The £ 900,000 facility accommodates 61 under five-year-olds, offering a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment. It is open 8am to 6pm weekdays and costs are set at affordable levels.
At each OSG nursery parents and carers can join consultative groups, the Local Nursery Groups, to have a say in running the one their child attends.
Carol Jenkins, Group General Manager, Childcare, said: "This will be a major boost for the community. We have built an attractive new building and created 20 new jobs."
