JUST one year after its launch, this website is going from strength to strength and fast becoming the number one choice for Co-op people everywhere who want to to stay in touch with what&#039s happening in the UK Movement.
The latest figures show that an average of 350 people visited the Co-operative News&#039s site every day last month. A record 10,800 unique sessions were logged with each user viewing around ten pages and, while the majority of the visitors were UK-based, the site is also proving popular with co-operators around the world.
American co-operators are regular visitors to the site and we have also had visits from Co-op folk in such far-flung places as Paraguay, Trinidad, Slovenia and Nepal.
The news and jobs sections are proving particularly popular as more and more people realise that logging on to www.thenews.coop can help them get the vital information they need before it appears elsewhere.
And the printed version of the News is also increasing its sales and readership one year after it was redesigned to reflect the changing and expanding nature of the Movement. Our print run has increased substantially since the beginning of last year, so that around 1,500 new readers are seeing the News every week.
