CHELMSFORD Star Co-op&#039s first Employees Forum is to be held later this month.

The initiative follows a meeting of the board of directors and senior management late last year when it was decided to pursue a number of strategic objectives including the setting up of the forum.

The forum will comprise a body of elected employees from each trading division and will be chaired by the society&#039s Human Resource Manager, Ann Rowland.

No member of management will be eligible to attend and the forum is intended to provide a platform for employees to raise issues about the society&#039s business and social policies.

It will also be used as a sounding board for any new concepts and projects, as well as place to receive valuable contributions, ideas and information from employees.

Minutes will be forwarded to Chief Executive Tony Gudgeon, who told the News: "The forum is the perfect place for our employees&#039 thoughts and concerns to be aired, without being restricted by the presence of management.

"I look forward to hearing the contents of the first meeting and hope that we can all benefit by listening and acting as required."
