THE Woodcraft Folk has made its archive available to the public on a new web site.
A grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund enabled it to digitise over 900 documents and photographs from when the first groups met in 1925.
Documents uploaded provide a wealth of information such as how much a tent cost in 1925 and how refugee children were treated in this country just before the Second World War.
The site also features Time Travellers, a collection of education activities for children charting the group's history and how it has helped with peace education, refugees and the environment.
Andy Piercy, Woodcraft Folk General Secretary, told theNews.coop: "This is history that encapsulates many of the experiences of the 20th century."
